Hefei STIP was founded on October 17, 1990. In March 1991, it was approved by the State Council as one of the State New and High Technology Industrial Development Zones. In September 1997, Hefei STIP was granted the honor of APEC Science and Technology Industrial Park, which is specially open to APEC and EU members.

On September 24, 1998, Mr. Jiang Zemin, Chairman of the People`s Republic of China, came to inspect Hefei STIP and offered his inscription. That has greatly spurred us on.

The total planned area of Hefei STIP is 40 square kilometers, including Newly Built area, Policy area, Agriculture Park and Incubation center. Sound infrastructure like road, water, drainage, heating, gas, communication, cable TV and land leveling have been finished within 7 square kilometers. Matched public facilities, convenient transportation and high-speed communication have made investment and living here quite easy and comfortable. Its unique style of afforestation has earned Hefei STIP the title of Garden Park.
The Administration Committee of Hefei STIP is an agency of the municipal government and carries out the municipal-level administration authority. As the National Development Zone Administration Management System and Organization Reform Trial Unit, Hefei STIP has set up an able and modern administration organization according to the international conventions to meet the need of marketing and the development of new and high technology industrial.

Hefei NHZ, on the base of ideological emancipation, will take the chance of era, take the advantage of ourselves and try our best to build our STIP into first-class one in the world in 21st century.
