On November 18, 2009, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Beijing held a grand reception celebrating the 39th National Day of the Sultanate of Oman. Officials of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreign envoys in China, and representatives from all circles were invited to share the joyous moment together.

In his speech, H.E. Mr. Abdullah Saleh•Al-Saadi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to China, highly appraised the traditional friendship between Oman and China, and extended his congratulations on the founding of the 60th Anniversary of People's Republic of China.

The Sultanate of Oman and People's Republic of China established bilateral relations on May 25, 1978. The Assistant of Chinese Foreign Minister, Mr. Zhaijun attended the reception.
